I thought that police Response to Free Speech could not get worse until I read this, even though it is the Mail on line. I have to wonder, who sent the officer to the call, and why did the officer even respond. Now I do not know what the lady said in support of Trump but, the one person who was upset by it should have been told that a different opinion, or being upset was not a matter for Police. The Police have better things to do. Now British 'thought police' order Trump-supporting pensioner to apologise for 'upsetting' Facebook post or face investigation | Daily Mail Online

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c3r7pwpgeweo I am deeply uncomfortable about this. I've seen officers on the ground operating LFR vans telling people that nothing is stored, and it blurs or removes your face from the system immediately if you aren't known. That may be the case now, but the problem is that police forces clearly intend to expand the use of these systems beyond that eventually. Rowley has already spoken about how he sees retrospective use of facial recognition as the next phase. We could get to a point where these facial recognition cameras are used retrospectively, and not just live. So every time you go out in public and one of these cameras se…
