An Essex builder jailed for drug trafficking has been ordered to hand over more than £1.2million of assets. Jason Warner, aged 49, from Cambridge Road, Canvey Island, was given a confiscation order totalling £1,220,192 at Kingston Crown Court on Monday 9 November. Warner was warned he would serve up to a further seven years in prison if he failed to pay the full sum within three months, and would still be liable for the money. Two firearms and over a hundred rounds of ammunition have been found at a property in Warrington as part of a National Crime Agency EncroChat investigation into the large scale supply of firearms. Officers searched a house on Selworthy Drive, Warrington, where two taped packages were buried in the back garden. A man who attempted to smuggle 1.5kg of cocaine from Jamaica to the UK to then sell to pay off a debt has been sentenced to over eight years in prison. Jamaican national Clayton Johnson admitted to swallowing 56 packages of cocaine in an attempt to smuggle them into the UK within his stomach, plus concealing additional packages within two specially modified pairs of shoes. He had intended to sell the drugs to repay a £6,000 debt incurred by damaging a boat in Jamaica.
