Latest news Three arrested over fatal non-stop collision in Halesowen 02/05/2017 Three people have been arrested in connection with a non-stop fatal collision in which a man died in Halesowen during the early hours of Monday morning (1 May). A 21-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder and released on police bail pending further enquiries. Two men, aged 32 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and have also been released on police bail. Latest news Police appeal following fatal non-stop collision 01/05/2017 Police are appealing for a driver involved in a fatal non-stop collision on Cherry Street, Halesowen to come forward. At around 12:15am this morning (Monday 1 May), a dark coloured hatchback was involved in a collision with a pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries. Despite the best efforts of medical staff the 34-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead shortly after. An investigation is underway to establish what has happened. Latest news Jailed: Gunman who blasted family home with shotgun 30/04/2017 A man who blasted shotgun cartridges at a family home in Coventry – shattering the front door and window – has been jailed for nearly 10 years after West Midlands Police proved he was the shooter. Genghis Khan opened fire at the house in Lauderdale Avenue in the early hours of 10 May last year – and the following month discharged a sawn-off shotgun at a vehicle parked outside the address. Latest news Bus pickpocket jailed for thefts against elderly passengers 29/04/2017 A prolific pickpocket who targeted elderly passengers on public transport has been jailed. Daniel Glowacki, from Terry Street in Dudley, targeted elderly victims on and around the West Midlands bus network. One of his victims, an 88-year-old woman, was waiting to get off the bus when Glowacki shoved past and put his arm around her in a bid to confuse the lady while dipping her purse. Latest news Three people appear in court on terrorism charges 28/04/2017 Three people have appeared at the Central Criminal Court today (Friday) on terrorism charges. Ummariyat Mirza, aged 21, Zainub Mirza, aged 23, and Madihah Taheer, aged 21, originally appeared before Westminster Magistrates Court on Thursday 6 April charged with a number of offences. Mirza and Mirza were today remanded in custody to next appear before Woolwich Crown Court on 4 September. Taheer will be granted bail once strict conditions have been put in place. The first incident happened on Friday 31 March just after 3pm. A 15-year-old boy was walking down Lichfield Road towards the town centre when he was approached by two teenage boys.
