Edward_Strange 3
Shocking stuff, they beat that guy black and blue! He has his hands behind his back too! But on a more cheerful note, how often do you see a horse-back pursuit across the desert?!
morek54 695
I guess there's a moral to the story: don't steal horses in that town!
Radman + 2,165
The US has a federal organisation/department for everything yet not one to investigate police complaints like our IPCC - with everything that's gone off I reckon it'd be a vote winner if such an organisation was proposed. They sure brought a smack down on that bloke, don't think he necessarily deserved it looking at that video.

They can have ours. The IPCC, that is. In fact, I'd happily hire a jet to fly the lot of 'em over there. One-way, of course. That they don't have anything like the IPCC is perhaps why, when a Police Officer shoots someone over there, the the rights and wrongs of the Officers actions are quickly determined and they're back on the streets with weeks, rather than months or even years as would be the case here. Perhaps we could learn something from the America system as opposed to visa versa. In other words, they don't bring the circus to town at huge public expense every time something bad happens or things go wrong.
Milankovitch + 3,445
Recent events have shown that police departments across the pond are more than happy to throw officers under a bus when it suits them so I'm not sure the grass really is greener on the other side.
