During my Army service I did 'a job' with the Royal Navy on board a nuclear submarine.  The men aboard were among the finest and most honourable people I have ever met.  They will be grieving that some of their family have perished in the service.  I hope the submarine is recovered to give closure to the families and raise a glass to the lost.

I have been on a Sub once, and once was enough. This is a horrible tragedy. It may sound macabre but it would have been merciful if there had been an under water explosion. At least it would be a moremerciful ending than a slow death by suffocation. I pray that they did not suffer. May they rest in peace.
