Robert George Walsham Police Sergeant Essex Police Died 29 January 2008, aged 48 Killed in a road traffic accident while travelling to report for duty at Colchester when his motorcycle was in collision with a car near East Bergholt, Suffolk. Bob had 26 years service, working with the Metropolitan Police before joining Essex in 1989; he was the Colchester Town Sergeant and was commended 3 times for his work. He is survived by his two sons, his mother and brother, and his fiancee and her four children with whom he lived in Suffolk.
