I mean, when they are responding down the road, any opportunity they go off and then re-start them shortly down the road, even if there is still traffic around. Is this a policy thing? Random question I know! I just noticed it when driving recently and found it a bit irritating as I couldn't take the action as early as I normally do for emergency vehicles...

Karen Land is a former Firefighter who had to give up her role when she was diagnosed with cancer, she went back after initial treatment, but cancer came back. It is now stage 4 and the NHS can offer the mum of two any further treatment, however, she can go to Germany for immunotherapy but that will cost £30K. She set up a Just Giving page but a card was hand delivered to her house with a vile message written inside. https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/local-news/fundraising-former-firefighter-cancer-sent-2433530

Weirdly enough I've always wanted to do that job but I joined the police instead as at the time there was virtually zero to none recruitment in the fire service. Would anyone advise me against the move? Sent from my iPhone us…
