I agree that the model of policing by consent requires public trust in the police to be quite high overall. People like Wayne Couzens and Carrick have undermined that, although I think public trust is still high. I don't agree that we should disband the Met. If reform is needed then it can happen in the current force. Because really if you abolish the Met and replace it with a brand new London Police, the name "Met" might not appear anywhere but it will just be the Met with a new logo.
