https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/stop-search-london-metropolitan-police-b2383860.html The Metropolitan Police is trialling a “new approach” to stop and search in which officers are trained to use “respectful language” and explain their actions, amid a crisis of public confidence. I thought this already happened. Every search I've seen the officer goes through who they are, where they are based, what the grounds are, what they are looking for, and that the person can have a copy of the search form if they want. It's hard to see what else could be done.
