I’ve been reading a number of threads here about auditors, and I wanted to offer a perspective that will differ from the forums usual view. I’m fully behind auditors, not because I enjoy confrontation, but because they fill an accountability gap that policing has struggled with for years. As an ex‑soldier, I understand difficult jobs, trauma, pressure, and public scrutiny. I also understand that when you’re given powers over the public, discipline and accountability must increase, not decrease.
