Many years ago, as a traffic officer we had a system when the 3/11pm patrol would pick up the night officers. The night Officers would then run the 3/11 officer home meaning that the car was on the air and available all the time. You would drop the officer off at his home and return to the station and parade with the other uniformed shift officers. One night two of us were picked up at home and the 3/11 driver was bragging about his new 45" Colour TV and insisted that he showed it to us. Quite surprised that some of them got a not guilty verdict. The jury were unable to reach a verdict on the one accused of GBH with intent by striking the police sergeant with a sledgehammer. So he could still face another trial for that.

Notwithstanding the fact that she is a Roman Catholic and divorce might be seen as unacceptable, what did this woman think that divorce was - does she live like a hermit - no newspapers, radio nor TV. I am glad the Court of Appeal rejected her case.
