Situational Judgement Test

Recommended Posts

Could anyone point me in the right direction, as to where I might find examples of the tests I will face at the special constables assessment centre?

I have not taken one of these tests before and I really don't know what to expect.

Thanks mate, it was a lot to take in. 4 tests over 3 hours. Was worried as my maths isn't the best but passed fortunately! Is that what you mean by situational test?

It's the test to see what you would do in certain situations by all accounts. I don't know much about it. Did you have anything that tested how you would act in different scenarios?

From my experience the Situational Judgement Test was taken online prior to the application form stage of recruitment. It was taken around the same time as the Behavioral Judgement Test.  This was for the regulars so the process may be different for specials, I cannot be sure.

Only advice would be be aware of the competencies as every scenario will be linked to them. Learn them and you shouldn't go far wrong.

Are there any good books with questions you might find in the test?

@Wildlife_Mgr

I've got my assessments on 8th January (North Yorkshire). I was under the impression that all the information we required was contained within the information pack.

I believe you are correct.. it was for west Mercia, however look at any information online in regards to the regs if applying for specials. I found that really useful.
