PolCom Petrolheads Club

Recommended Posts

We were missing a petrolheads (other fuels available) thread for the car nuts of the forum. Allow me to start it off :) Use this topic to discuss anything vehicle related, I'd suggest not police vehicles as I am sure there will be a 110 page thread starting at some point soon.

Speaking of petrolheads, I have a few days off and will be doing a full service on my car having bought all the parts, the only issue is being able to put my Xbox One controller down which I have had for a matter of hours.

Who am I kidding *starts Forza Horizon 2 download*

Me - 100% petrolhead and a big fan of Alfa Romeos from the 60's.

I sold most of my UK collection before moving out to South Africa - I'm sill waiting for the one I kept (my 1968 Duetto 1.6) to be shipped over.

In the meantime, a 1969 1750 Duetto came up for auction in Joburg, and I found myself unable to resist the temptation.....

Any other Alfisti on here?

I do like cars and have driven a Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, Aston and Lotus amongst other things on various driving experiences.

I only have a Focus at the moment but at least it is the 2.0 petrol so does have a little bit of power. If money was no object, I would be straight down the nearest Lambo garage to buy a Gallardo. A lovely car.

I've just recently acquired the car I've always wanted (within reason, if I won the euromillions I'd have a V12 vantage) my Honda S2000

Had it a week and some scumbag slashed the roof :(

Would love one.

I've currently got a Corsa, its horrible to drive, but so much cheaper than my old BMW 5 Series I had, then again going from a 2.8 to a 1.2 would be.

I've got a hankering for a Volvo at the moment for some reason...

I genuinley thought they would be a pile of rubbish as well. IUntil I drove one as I thought "How rubbish can it be?". It handles far better than a focus, it has even won awards from auto express for its handling.

It is nippy, has satnav cruise etc, and looks pretty good in my opinion!

Honestly, test drive one, you will be very, very surpised

I have a '14 Focus ST  How dare you say that! Haha, no really. I wouldn't of even considered a MG in my top 10, so maybe one day i'll go for a drive in one

I'm quite the petrolhead. My last car was the only car I've personally modified. It was an 07 Fiesta ST in Frozen White and it was lowered (quite a lot) with coilovers and I then put the Escort Cosworth RS wheels on. It was my pride and joy but I had to sell it because someone copied my exact style!

I then wanted to get a Focus RS but ended up with a new VW Scirocco! :)
