PCSO vs a freeman

I know that this man is a well known freeman on Youtube, but it's pretty annoying to hear PCSOs or Police officers wrongly say on video, that it's illegal to film them.

Danny isn't a freeman... Just saying... He's anti-capitalist and anti-commercialism....

Why, oh why? Is that what one might call "power tripping"?

I dunno, you give an idiot a megaphone and they suddenly think they're above the law. I don't understand why they go on these power trips either.

Attention, they just crave attention...

Just a nob with a megaphone...

Behave yourself.  Danny has some valid points and asks good questions without ever being aggressive or nasty towards anybody.

He's an entertainer as well.  All round good egg.

He's clearly going out of his way to distract the police from more important things, at the end of the clip even the public were getting annoyed with him. There are ways of doing things and this isn't one of them.

It's up to the other agencies as to whether they call for police back up or not. When they do it's usually because they really can't handle being in the wrong and rely on police to back them up. Police then get spoken with and pretty much all ends well.

I think you're on a hiding to nothing having a pop at Danny here.

He agrees that police interactions make the videos more watchable but he never calls them himself to incite an incident for entertainment purposes.

The PCSO in the footage quite clearly states that a MOP has called 999. All he is doing is seeing how much he can get away with without getting locked up and annoying a lot of people in the process, there really is no point to what he has done in this video apart from to annoy the public and waste police time, simple.

You are quite wrong in regards to wasting Police time. How is it that somebody who is not doing anything wrong can have any blame apportioned for wasting Police time? You sir, it appears, are truly lacking in manners and respect for other members of our society who engage in a different media to what you expect or find acceptable.

Attacking ones character is a poor, ill thought out and stupid defence mechanism. I suggest you not use it if you wish to be taken seriously.

CPS says that Wasting Police time can be:

Examples of the type of conduct appropriate for a charge of wasting police time include:

  • false reports that a crime has been committed, which initiates a police investigation;
  • the giving of false information to the police during the course of an existing investigation.

http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/p_to_r/public_justice_offences_incorporating_the_charging_standard/#a27

so theoretically  it could count, but practically I doubt it.

If he's doing nothing wrong then why were the police called? Why were there several members of the public telling him to go away? Wonders never cease...
