Fedster + 1,307
So the laptop is broken, cracked screen, wont charge up anymore, it basically passed away. Cost yo much to fix. Recycle? Do companies pay for broken laptops? ( trade ins etc) Thoughts
TheFlomeister + 349
Places like CEX will only typically buy them off you if they're in a resaleable condition and will pass their testing. Might be worth sticking on ebay for spares/repairs (remove the hard drive though and state that in your ad). Personally, I tend to remove the hard drive and then take them to the tip once they've gone to computer heaven as I know I'm unlikely to get much for it.
miffy + 74
Stick in on eBay, and hope someone will buy it, even in its state. I sold a broken laptop and was expecting £20 max. Ended up with £120
