James255 + 26
These pranksters seem similar to Trollstation. I'm in two minds about the railway security guards, it's good that they intervened and got hands on (as to them it seemed that the men were stealing exhausts). But, they did seem a bit "power hungry" as they reported one of the men for a bylaw offence, yet BTP didn't seem to bat and eyelid. I didn't know that railway security guards could enforce bylways, is this common?
MerseyLLB 8,426
Good. These pranksters arguably cause alarm, harassment and distress intentionally for amusement. S5.POA1986 would be perfect. I'm fed up of all this 'it's a joke for YouTube' somehow taking away from the selfish actions of these wannabe pranksters.
Krycek 1,190
With the current threat level and intel, I would certainly be getting right into anyone fiddling about under a police car....

How is this remotely funny Dash? Look at the reaction from people who's cars they did this to. Sometimes Dash you say the daftest things.

I can not distinguish the difference between the "Jeremy Beadle" type programs that are shown and broadcast in the UK and what these chaps are doing. They generate a similar if not identical reactions. I have pointed out before it would be a dull, if not boring world when one feel the need to line up like all the other nodding dogs. Respecting other people's private property is 'lining up like nodding dogs?' These pranksters are disrespectful morons who go out of their way to cause and incite problems - when their joke inevitably backfires they cry out that "it's just a prank" It isn't funny to do this to people, the woman in one video was clearly very distressed she ran off down the opposite end of the car park only to be chased by the prankster. It isn't on Dash - I didn't think I'd need to spell it out. Edited March 7, 2015 by Radman
MerseyLLB 8,426
The psychological effects of robberies, witnessing violent crime etc can be huge on people. It results on rare occasions in people committing suicide. Thee is also the question of use of force. Some of these pranksters, to outdo each other, are escalating the shock factor of their pranks. How long before a prankster is killed or seriously injured. Imagine how the bystander will feel having 'defended' somebody from what they believe to be a serious attack to find out 'it was meant to be a joke'. I don't suppose you recall the way 'happy slapping' got out of control? I got the #### kicked out of me on a 96 bus after a gang of lads happy slapped me when I was 15 and I stood up for myself. These pranks are going to go seriously wrong and I really don't find most if then that funny from a personal perspective let alone a policing perspective.

Dash 32
The psychological effects of robberies, witnessing violent crime etc can be huge on people. There is also the question of use of force. Some of these pranksters, to out do each other, are escalating the shock factor of their pranks. How long before a prankster is killed or seriously injured. Imagine how the bystander will feel having 'defended' somebody from what they believe to be a serious attack to find out 'it was meant to be a joke'. This is what amounts to "what about the children argument" it is not constructive or helpful. I don't suppose you recall the way 'happy slapping' got out of control? I got the #### kicked out of me on a 96 bus after a gang of lads happy slapped me when I was 15 and I stood up for myself. Sorry to hear of your horrendous experience. I am going to believe it molded you into a stronger person with a sense of duty to help others when in distress. These pranks are going to go seriously wrong and I really don't find most if then that funny from a personal perspective let alone a policing perspective. You could apply that argument to an infinite amount of situations and I am not one to support such blanket statements. It was always a prank and nothing more, I can agree to recognise others feeling who find it distasteful. Edited March 8, 2015 by Dash
