Police deal with violent incident

I love the comments from the ignorant people who think they actually know the law....

It's clearly assault but the police are above the law aren't they... Either that or 117 PACE and S3 CLA, but hey let's ignore that and make monosyllabic insults aimed at the police.

If he'd done nothing wrong why resist.

Because "He ain't done nothin!"

his morning wasnt arrest it was unnessary excessive force which led quickly to GBH!!!! i know the law and i know your officers was way out of line! they guy didnt hit him and was not running off or threating towards that ofiicer sat on him! i hope to see the result of the case of all them being proscuted and not just get away with that ! not only disgusting it dramatic for anyone who witnessed it aswell ! The only person i see a threat hear is the police and the only one being aggressive or tramatising people was the POLICE"! GET IT SORTED YOU ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW! the video evidence is all over facebook lets get it to court and see these criminal be punished

Love that comment on those videos. Apparently using PAVA and two strikes to effect an arrest is now GBH!!! He knows the law too so be careful guys. If the person isn't running away or hitting out then they aren't resisting, locking their arms under their body isn't resisting at all. remember police aren't above the law.

well there you have it, the game's up, he's onto us S3 CLA, S117 PACE and common law no longer apply because that would put us above the law. You only need to give someone a tap that looks bad to the mob stood around you for it to be GBH, nothing to do with the injuries to the person who the force has been used upon.

The police officers in these videos are NOT above the law. People are outraged at the behaviour, i will be visiting Blackburn job centre to obtain their CCTV and also making sure that these officers are dealt with in exactly the same way if the roles were reversed. Believe me when i say this, YOU HAVE NOT HEARD THE END OF THIS.

A random member of the public is now going down to a government building to demand the CCTV as evidence, that she isn't quite sure what to do with even if she managed except to make some sort of threat?

Some of your police officers are disgusting, the way they spoke to that old lady and how they delt with that lad outside Blackburn job centre today has really made my blood boil, but of course nothing will get done as per, just a set of bully's!

Remember if someone comes up to while you're alone and making an arrest of a resisting individual to tell you not to arrest him you have to be all nice and polite to them.

Police officer pepper spary and knee a male outside Blackburn job centre,

Not sure where the pepper spray came from.

IM HAVING BACON FOR TEA!!!

Either completely off topic or some attempt to call the police pigs as if that isn't totally played out?

Everyone that has commented saying that the police were well in their rights with how they treated that young lad today need to take another look at that video! It was absolutely vile, he was already restrained and was only voicing his opinion that he had done nothing wrong. To have 3 grown men pin him down, and have three knee blows to the face until his face was bloody is absolutely disgusting. The police may use force to restrain someone, however using force to intentionally hurt someone once they are already restrained is assault. I have logged a formal complaint and I insist you all do the same, because believe it or not this is a common occurrence while people are under arrest and it won't stop.

Don't forget to watch it multiple times, if you think it was a justified use of force then you're wrong and need to go watch it again. Then be sure to make a complaint because this person totally unlinked to the event other than seeing it on facebook insists you must.

You couldn't make some of the moronic responses up, it's hilerious all the knuckle draggers and do gooders that crawl from the woodwork when these things get blown out of all propotion.

Criticism regarding the distance at which the spray was used would probably be fair. Apart from that it seemed proportionate. Love the "I'm innocent, why don't you believe me".

I'm more impressed an ARV attended, thought they were just a myth in the counties :P

Typically,

1) Police use reasonable force

2) Ignorant member of public interprets reasonable force as "assault"

3) Public complain/media recycle "police brutality" article

4) Police hierarchy pander to views of public/media out of fear of criticism. Public feel even more justified in their complaints.

5) Investigation finds officers didn't nothing wrong as the force was reasonable and justifiable

6) Public outcry of "cover up" "police are above the law they get away with everything" etc etc

It was posted from a white supremacist account in the first place so not that surprising.

Well I got where it was posted but I have no idea how it got so bad so quickly considering the video being discussed has nothing to do with race, religion, ethnicity or anything other than police using (entirely justifiable) use of force to effect an arrest.
