Management Chief Cheetah 6,915 Posted January 8, 2016 Management Share Posted January 8, 2016 I'm not convinced we've not seen this chap before. Numerous times. Possibly closer than you may think. http://police.community/profile/1058-thejesusofkayaking/
Member of Public + 206
Cheetah beat me to it. This gentleman is a complete and utter idiot, he once did a video (I believe he's taken it down now) on a supermarket car park whereby he approached a young officer on his own who was exiting the store and getting into his patrol car. He questioned the officer as to where he'd just been, to which the officer replied that he'd just been in the store to take a statement, to which 'Jesus' responded that he'd seen him so he 'knew he wasn't lying' - charming! He then ordered the officer to show him the lights (not the blues) were working on the patrol vehicle and I think he said something about checking the tyres as well. When the officer questioned why, he said because he's a 'concerned member of the public'. Worse still, the very polite officer obliged and this idiot was clearly trying to have a laugh at the officer's expense, remarking to the camera "I can't believe he's doing this", that one really riled me! Its a shame that we've come to this situation where officers feel they need to be so accommodating to these unreasonable, micky taking tools who seem to see this idiotic behaviour as some sort of victory. What a sad state of affairs. Maybe its just me being a grumpy so and so, I don't know.

Admin Team Sir Penguin 648 Posted January 9, 2016 Admin Team Share Posted January 9, 2016 Oh how glad I am that we don't have to see his nonsense littering the forum anymore. It's a bit strange isn't it.. following a security guard round pushing a camera in her face? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jackthelad2 0
Just looking for advice/opinions on situations like this... Realistically i'm guessing the Police don't have any powers to use in such situations? I know what the vast majority would want to say to the bloke but obviously you have to be polite etc but could any Words of advice could be given, dispersal order? or would you have to simply tolerate the bloke/get in your car and leave? I'm not watching the video because it'll be a waste of my life but I'm presuming it just shows another irritating fool trying to wind the security guard and the cops up. While you could start using S143 Licensing Act or whatever ASB legislation, or get drawn into a tedious argument often the best solution is simply not to get drawn into it - these people want to record confrontations so they'll try to rile you and drag you into an argument, so rising to the provocation is often the worst thing you can do especially if there's no obvious offences. If his behaviour becomes disorderly then you have a duty under S143 to help remove him from Sainsburys given it will be licensed premises but if the security simply don't want him there then they should get rid of him themselves. A lot of these videos only make the internet because of blustering bumbling cops who get sucked into arguments without thinking about where they're going to go. Have a look at this one for an example of wrong versus right; the first cop doesn't know what she's talking about ("there's people with kids...") and ends up looking foolish whereas the second one keeps control of the conversation and doesn't let himself get flustered.
Radman + 2,165
"The security guard doesn't want you filming them and has asked you to leave the shop, you have a duty at a common law level to leave the premises otherwise you risk being ejected as a trespasser with the use of reasonable force should you refuse to do so.... My advise is you leave prior to any breach of the peace is committed as I will then be forced to take action against you." Look at the Security, tell them if she doesn't want the man there to ask him to leave and then eject him as she is perfectly entitled to do at common law - I'd also see if the store management wanted to issue some kind of civil banning notice on the man. The problem with these Youtube types is that they think they can dictate terms to land owners/employees of land owners whilst on that persons private property.. "You've got hundreds of cameras in here filming me, what is the difference between their cameras and mine..." You're on their property... It isn't yours... It's an invalid argument. If you want to put 100's of cameras up around your house/business you can, welcome to a free society - if you don't want to shop in that particular store because they use CCTV then don't go, simple as that. Utterly baffling mindset. Edited January 9, 2016 by Radman
First digital * 0
PCSO repeatedly required the idiot to turn his camera off, plain to see in the idiots video). Smith had no authority to make such a demand and the idiot had no obligation to meet that demand/requirement?

Watched the video. It seemed to me like the first officer on the scene perhaps felt like she needed to justify herself to him in some way, (she didn't), and so made the comments about people with children etc which unfortunately made her look a bit like she was clutching at straws, which probably made this tool's day. However the second officer was polite but at the same time, no nonsense or tip-toeing around the idiot, - he just came straight out with the point "you look like a bank robber" - Brilliant! Then proceeded to lay down the law (or 'act' ) with him. I'd say that's exactly what these 'freeman of the land' types need, sure they'll start babbling about how 'its an act not a law' and they 'don't consent' but its them who are talking rubbish. Jinxer 43
I think the young girl PC did her best in the situation she was in bless her. The second PC I would say had a lot more experience and may of dealt with someone like him before. What I find disturbing after watching a few of these type of video's the last couple of weeks is why do people feel they have a need to do what there doing. It cant be fun standing outside a bank looking like a pratt videoing,He obviously wasn't breaking any laws or I suppose he would of been arrested or if Radman was dealing summoned. I think and its only my own observation that people have come to rely on the Police for near enough anything that goes wrong in there lives and I wonder how long it will be before parents of children will be phoning the police to tell their kids off for being naughty. Inbtsiyp + 347
I wonder how long it will be before parents of children will be phoning the police to tell their kids off for being naughty. As someone that has attended two calls this year which essentially boiled down to just the example above I can unfortunately confirm that it is already happening. CHOPS 4
I came across this video after watching the previous one and this guy seems to be a lot more educated and talks some sense, he even talks about hugging the Police.
