Did these offices get any training one looks like a Two year old having a tantrum, whilst the other looks like he's auditioning for a Rodney King film, all ineffective strikes.

Pathetic!

Yeah I mean its not like they are following there conflict resolution model or caught up with the affects of adrenaline, if only you were there to save the day.

I would of done a better job than that that's for certain! Even g4s would have managed better.

Please tell us what your experience in policing is Mr smith.  Very little I suspect.

I have little confidence you would have. I have to say the video doesn't look great and I would have taken a different approach to it but we all learn with the benefit of our mistakes and hindsight.

To be fair, it has no relevance over his/her comments.

I do feel the officer could have perhaps handled it better, especially when the guy was against the railings he was still not handcuffed despite him not actually moving about, the officer who was stood up could have took hold of him and cuffed it, the second one could have perhaps tried to do something other than just hold onto his leg and be dragged about the floor.

btw incase anyone wants to ask about my policing experience, feel free  :)

Now that would be a little hypocritical of me now wouldn't it!

The one on the floor looks to be suffering the effects of CS to me.

Great excuse! They make btp look bad, maybe they should try being pcso s  for a couple of years, then see how things go.

Those baton strikes looked scarily close to the officers head!

Very easy to criticise.

If I recall correctly this was about 5 years ago.

The officer on the floor has taken a splash back of PAVA and so is pretty much written off to only being able to cling onto the suspect to 1. Stop him making off and 2. Protect himself.

Officer 2 has already used Captor to no effect and is knackered. I dont know about anyone else but unless you get a blindingly good baton strike with a 26" monadnock they are not 'one hit wonders' you have to paste people a good few times.

I presume most of you arrest everyone as per OST by telling the person to look away from you  and announce your intention to arrest them...
