CR8623 243
Do I need a PC to run it?
Bravo Sierra + 263
GTA IV LCPDFR is Windows Only. So these mods are only for the PC version.
CR8623 243
Damn it! Will it run OK on a normal laptop or will it have to be a gaming laptop..
Bravo Sierra + 263
I'd check the specs on GTA, which you can then compare to your laptop specs.
Admin Team Sir Penguin 648 Posted November 2, 2014 Admin Team Share Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) You can run it if you use hardware virtualisation like Parallels. I think there's one already on your mac called BootCamp though. You'll need to buy a copy of windows and it basically splits your hard drive. Windows/Mac. GTA has very specific requirements so you'd need a pretty good computer if you wanted to run it, especially if you're wanting to use a laptop. Klaus 585
It wouldn't run in parallels as it's a very intensive game. Boot camp would be sufficient, providing your computer hard ware is powerful enough.
Lee 10
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri That should be able to give you an idea how any game will run on your system. Don't forget most mods will require a bit more power than the vanilla game. Lee Edited November 2, 2014 by Lee

Lego 15
So I've been and bought a gaming PC... Silly question- do you download GTA IV now? Can't seem to buy it in the shops! Also... Can anyone help with me setting up the LCPDFR ? http://store.steampowered.com/ You'll need to download & Install Steam, and then you can simply search for and purchase GTA: IV! I believe it's currently priced at £19.99 I'd recommend searching on YouTube "GTA IV - How to install LCPDFR". Depending on performance, it might also be worth searching up how to best configure GTA IV. I'm not much of a gamer myself but I've heard that the game is poorly optimized so it might take some tweaking.
Admin Team Sir Penguin 648 Posted November 4, 2014 Admin Team Share Posted November 4, 2014 My god, you're desperate to play GTA! I've set it up before but it was a long time ago. I could probably give you a hand setting it up. As for the download, you can download it online from places like Origin i do believe.. or GAME
