Just a word of warning to all, this video contains a very shouty scouser who likes to a swear in a very loud and shouty way, very often, you may want to wear headphons and turn the volume down depending on where and with whom you are watching it.

You wouldn't see a video like that from anywhere else in the world.  Overall, I really can't say if that's a good or a bad thing.

Welcome to Merseyside.

Personally I would have been a bit more robust but wouldn't have got into petty  arguments over where or when I was leaving.

He asks me to leave, I leave. I wouldn't give him the pleasure of getting off because I remained in his premises unlawfully.

If he follows me levelling that abuse hes locked up.

Couldn't agree more MerseyLLB pretty sure he would have been nicked just one polite but very firm warning.

I would worry about a complaint if and when it came wouldn't be my first and certainly wouldn't be my last :-)

To be fair to that officer he handled the situation well, he didn't really rise to that torent of abuse and left without incident. The only person who looked like an id out in my opinion was the camera man.

Sorry, should have mentioned that.

Once it's outside the dwelling, game on...

That's what I thought was going to go on. However, the bloke never seems to actually leave his dwelling properly.

It doesn't really matter where the plonker is stood, as it's the presence of persons likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress outside of that dwelling (and any other dwelling) that is the key here.

The door is wide open and the plonker is shouting and swearing loudly.  It's daylight so there are likely to be people outside going about their daily business.  The police officer only needs to reasonably suspect this in order to nick him.  In the circumstances as they present themselves to me and from purely legal perspective, it would have been perfectly lawful for the officer to arrest the plonker there and then.  I'm not going to criticise him for not doing it though as we can only see what the camera is showing.

Soap, A very interesting and informative film, and thanks for showing it.It got me thinking as to what went right and what could/should  have been done better, even from the moment the officer spoke to the shopkeeper and was given "permission" to enter this guys dwelling.

Leaving aside the flowery language of the occupier completely, (sticks and stones etc)what lessons can be learned from this job re the NDM the officer did and his continuing personal safety or protection. I wonder what was going through the officers mind as he climbed those stairs and decided that he would put to the housholder certain  "allegations". I am afraid I couldn't quite make make out what they were even though I watched the video three times so don't know what set the occupier off.maybe it was an ongoing dispute about something.

The officer was to his credit calm about it all and left the house when asked to, (i just hope he was keeping an eye on "Mr Angry" all the time as he went to go down the stairs). This was almost like a road rage incident when people flare up in anger over some unintentional slight on their character, and then sometimes go on to do things that they later  regret, and all in a blink of an eye.Rich.Ps, do we know what the officers next step was or what happened in the end?
