Washing Machine... We've got a runner

Recommended Posts

Okay, I'll keep it brief. New strange bit of witchcraft in the house, apparently it does some kinda magic after pressing a few buttons... Though it is better than the old one as you don't need a degree in engineering and be proficient at flying an aircraft to get it to work and be on the right setting!

only thing is... even at a low RPM it really does not like me and I have to make sure it doesn't make a bit for freedom...

Floor is level as floors generally are and the little spinny legs on the front are even. Even at 600RPM it likes to play a game and try to run away or likes to knock seven shades out of the adjacent kitchen unit....

any ideas??? :help::ninja:

Was it brand new when you got it and installed straight from the box?

I've found out, the transit bolts were not taken out properly. I've been at it with a spanner and now eagerly watching a fleece go round and round.

It wasn't the transit bolts at the back that caught me out with my current washing machine, I'd been there before and knew I'd taken them out but I still couldn't figure out why it was dancing around the floor.

I just couldn't figure it out, I had followed all the installation instructions and went through them several times and in the end had to call out an engineer as I assumed it was faulty.

It turned out that there was an additional piece of transit packaging in the form of a piece of high density polystyrene that was wedged in between the front of the drum and the chassis and the only way to find it was to tilt the washing machine back at remove it from underneath!

Hi there! I see that your washing machine is not working properly. Maybe you have put a lot of load in it that's why it happened. If you are not sure what's wrong, try consulting an expert and let them fix it.
