FOTL trying to make a point?

Edit.  Not sure of the FOTL angle, just that is their normal behaviour.  However the level of control over the guy they're pinning is embarrassing.  If they're struggling that much it is time for some PAVA.

He is not the first idiot to be arrested and, no doubt, not the last.

Saw this in the mirror this morning. Didn't look anything wrong with it to me. Unless there's more details we don't know, he parked on a yellow line, ignoring traffic regulations, then became annoyed and obstructive when challenged. He was subsequently arrested (shock horror) and resisted, and so was restrained. What does he expect to happen?

And don't even get me started on the idiotic woman screaming "he's dying!", please.

Surely the onus should be on the person who is breaking the law. It is quite possible for the smallest event to escalate to an arrest should the other person be so obstinate. Walking away from infractions of the law is possible but it does mean that the number of infractions increases as does the types of things people get away with.

I dont want to arrest someone for dropping a cigarette end for instance and would give them every opportunity to avoid that. But it is possible that we could end up in a situation where they are so uncomplaint, resistant and aggressive that in the most extreme cases someone could get a baton strike.

They aren't hit, restrained and brought down by a gaggle of officers because they parked badly. But because of every conscious act afterwards which lead up to it being necessary to do.

Don't know why the guy did not do what he was told by police and why he refused to show his driving licence to the officer makes me think he thinks he is above the law so it is down to him that he got himself arrested for being so stupid and cant see what the officer did wrong in arresting him.👍

It was painful to watch. What is it with cops grabbing bloody ankles and holding on for dear life?
