Bubba1546080759 335
Just bought my son a Peppa Pig game, but I can't seem to get it to work. I have installed the CD and the main menu runs, but when I choose one of the 8 games to play, I get the following error "Unhandled Exception has occured" Then I get this in the details box See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'ManagedAudiere, Version=1.0.2353.26768, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. I've google'd it and checked the results. I've tried booting up using a clean boot (nothing running) and I've done a registry clean and it still won't run. Really annoying as he loves Peppa Pig and its the same game that they use at school to help with their learning. Would appreciate if any of the techies on here can offer any advice. Damsel + 2,111
Could it just be a corrupted install of the game? Have you tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it?
Administrative Account 7
Or try running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP.
GaryW 160
There are several references to 'JIT' which is a JAVA 'Just In Time' component. It'll be worth making sure JAVA is fully updated, just download the latest version from Sun and see if that fixes it.
eddie_wakey 4
Looks like your on windows 7 64bit... Maybe the game isnt compatible with 64 bit os? Also make sure you have the .net runtime installed, as this seems to be the error!
Bubba1546080759 335
Yep, just checked the CD case and it says "Windows 7 32bit only" Is there anyway I can run it? None of the compatability modes seem to work OK some of them run, but most don't :whistle2:
Zatarg 20
32bit programs should still run on 64 bit systems. (See Wikipedia for details.) It looks like the game needs a .dll file called "ManagedAudiere" (Might not actually be the file name!) And your computer doesn't have the right bitness of the file. A possible fix would be to find and download the 32 bit version of the file and move it to :\Windows\system32 (I think) and see if it works? If you can find a file on your computer called ManagedAudiere.dll, Audiere.dll or something similar I'd be happy to look for a version for you. What's the full name of the game? Zatarg 20
Can't find that file on the computer. The full name is "Peppa Pig Puddles of Fun" Bad news from me I'm afraid. http://www.avanquest.com/UK/aq-you/support/techsupport.html FAQ #4187 Q Some of the games do not work when run on Windows 7 64-bit. Solution: The program is unfortunately not compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows. There are no updates for this. I had a look anyway to see if it was one of those "We don't have the money to figure it out so we'll say its not gonna work" deals. If I've read everything correctly its a case of - No one else can fix it, they seem unable/unwilling to. If i've looked up the right game it seems that "Cards and Invites,""Meet the Cast" and "SudoPigs" will work. The games requirements are pretty low, however, if you have access to a pretty old computer it'll likely still work on that. (Or if you have a 32bit copy of Windows 2000/xp/7 there is always Virtual PC or Virtual Box but that might be too much effort)
