Maverick22 994
I have Windows 7, 64 bit. This problem only occurs in Windows Live Mail, with any message email, that has a link to be opened, I get a box with ''there is a problem sending a command to this program''. If I click on the link this box appears, until the third attempt, when it always opens the link, providing I hold down the Control Key. I have checked on the Microsoft Site but there is nothing to indicate how to stop the problem. Anyone any ideas please.
Penbwlch 810
Windows mail has lots of strange problems, Mav. It may take ages to find the cause of this particular problem and, if you cure it, there will still be other problems lurking. It all depends how you use it, of course, but I have an increasing numbers of customers that find strange problems with this program. My answer is to scrap Windows Mail and use Mozzilla Thunderbird. It is a better email client and has less problems.
Penbwlch 810
Oh, if the link is to a Word file, open Word and check under properties that "run as administrator" is not ticked. If it is, untick it and try the hyperlink again.
999tommo 1,297
I use Outlook and have had no issues with it and I download mail from 5 different email accounts into it, keeping everything in one place. I don't use windows mail.
