Complaints against officers

Hi to all.

I have a caution for being in posession of a class c drug. It has been over 2 years now but it is still on my record. I was arrested and given the caution at the locol station and i think it is why it has not cleared yet.

 

Also if i wanted to join the force, i understand this caution will affect my application alot but, is there a way around it?

There's no way round it - if you don't mention it when you apply, then it'll come out when they do your checks.

Yes i thaught so. I was told the caution is to stay on my file for 10 years, is that correct?

Not sure about the caution............think it might depend on how old you were when the you got it, but I really don't know.

I just arrest people - what happens to them in custody is what custody Sergeants are for.
