Rocket + 6,403
Erm, it's police related so I'll start it here and move it if necessary. Watch this video from Russell Brand, what do you think? Burnsy2023 2,895
I loathe to actually watch any of his videos. Can I be cheeky and ask for a summary?
Rocket + 6,403
I loathe to actually watch any of his videos. Can I be cheeky and ask for a summary? I know what you mean about him but he is actually being supportive of the police and saying that the public should protest on their behalf. It's worth watching, he actually speaks a lot of truth. It's worth watching, he actually speaks a lot of truth. No it's merely him trying to drive a wedge and mix the pot. I doubt he's changed his views on the Police.
Cockney_Doris 29
He's a fool. This is all about trying to stop police getting involved when the minority of lefties start smashing things up on protests. Edited June 23, 2015 by David Naughty word sanitised. ted123 4
Is this his real opinion though? It's hard to tell with him because he's such a joker.
Nim 376
Hmmm nice on one hand to hear support for the police from someone who hasn't always been our biggest fan. Bit concerned about how he thinks that we would arbitarily arrest protesters - only if they break the law Russell - not peaceful protest, article 20 human rights (right to peaceful demonstration and assembly). Also, he seems to think that by supporting anti-police cuts it's a way to bring down the establishment. Trouble is, Tory government were democratically elected into power. I don't like it, I didn't vote for them, I abhore their current stance on welfare and the cuts but we live in a democratic country... AA101 626
I think the support Rocket was very much tongue in cheek. I think you meant Art 10/11...
Nim 376
Yes quite possibly. But then in me defence it is bedtime and I only had 3 hours of sleep last night... Yawn.... Clearly need to do a spot of revision myself!

Thanks. #LoveTheMods I think this does have some sort of merit, but I'd question what his actual motives behind it are. If it's just protesting against the cuts and policing situation, then fine, but it's not going to stop us getting involved when they start throwing bins about and jumping on cars. Yeahduffman + 18
He can be funny, and is an intelligent man. But I can't take him seriously.. However 'm all for a bit of love.
David + 4,981
Unfortunately I can't seem to play the video to comment on his comments. However He can be funny, and is an intelligent man. I disagree on both counts. Humour is of course subjective and what one find funny another might not, but I find him a crashing boor (and bore). It also takes a man of some idiocy to tell people not to vote. Whilst it's debatable the influence he had, he seemed upset/surprised that Labour lost. I don't suppose it never occurred to him that telling people not to vote might have affected the election results.
