ex-job-ex-pat 0
Whenever I visit a "news" item (I use the term loosely) on the Sun newspaper website the page does not finish loading and Firefox closes down. I do not have adblock installed. Has anyone else noticed this problem? IE7 does not have this problem, but I don't generally use IE7 any more. I suppose I could uninstall and try a new download? M&MBM 598
Maybe Firefox just shows good taste.
G*N*D 31
EJEP, exactly the same happens to me. For the 'news' that is on there it isn't worth the hassle. Think it must be some sort of advert they have on there, the page is ok until the flash advert (or whatever it's called) on the side is loaded Girl*Next*Door2008-04-09 23:20:

I think I'll leave things alone and just avoid the Sun.
Penbwlch 810
I've just checked it and my firefox works fine with it. Perhaps it is because you don't have addblock. Try installing addblock plus (which I use). It may be a self loading advert (for bras?) that is crashing firefox. There is one site I use which runs an annoying video automatically. That used to crash Firefox so I blocked it with Addblock plus. Peace, perfect peace.

ex-job-ex-pat 0
Thanks Penbwlch, I have tried Adblock twice (on your recommendation actually) and eventually uninstalled it, both times... I couldn't get on with it. I'm just happy to have confirmation it isn't necessarily a fault in my installation or a foreign IP rejection thing. Goodnight. ex-job-ex-pat 0
I think it was Adblock plus. I am giving it another try. Maybe third time lucky. Thanks again.

ex-job-ex-pat 0
Today, after reformatting my HDD yesterday, reinstalled Firefox from a fresh download, I can login using IE but when I try to log in to Police Forum with Firefox I get this message: Error: Un-Successful Login Your login was un-successful due to a session tracking error. Please ensure that cookies are enabled on your web browser and you are not hiding or masking your IP address. I am not masking my IP address, also I definitely have cookies enabled. I am logging out on IE before attempting to login using firefox.
ex-job-ex-pat 0
It's OK now, I fixed it by clearing the firefox cookies cache.
