M&MBM 598
Can anyone help here? I've judst tried to post our PCSO's monthly report onto my NHW blog. I've never had problems with the actual posting before. I usually copy and paste the report in. Then I tidy it up and bold and change the colour on the various headings. This time I got an error message whn I tried to post, So I cloned it in again, but this time did no alterations, and deleted at the front and back of the pice in case there were hidden commands.. It accepted that, but when i went through and tidied it up again, I got the same error message Your HTML cannot be accepted: Closing tag has no matching opening tag: </strong> I don't know what it means and I'm getting hacked off because it takes time to do the headings and I can't do it and paste it in like that because it loses the formatting when I paste it. M&MBM 598
Now I seem to have lost the ability to do more than bold the script in places. Blogs... gah.
Penbwlch 810
HTML has commands to set sections of text (you can see the same thing in the profile section in this forum). Those commands must start and finish the text they are to be applied to. For instance:- If you wish to set some text to be bold and the bold character is "B" enclosed in <>, then it would look something like This is ,<B>bold</B>. In the above example, the word "bold" would be emboldened. Note that the "/" is often used to say "turn it off". What you now need to do is to match up the pairs of commands surrounding the text where you wish to apply some command. Just make sure that, for every starting command, there is a finishing command. M&MBM 598
Thanks Pen. I'll try it, though I don't normally have to put in the commands. The temmplate does it for me. maybe it was the site playing up, not copied oput hidden commands. But i won't try it now cos i'm trying to get away from the computer.
Penbwlch 810
But i won't try it now cos i'm trying to get away from the computer. I can now see an image of a computer chasing you round and round the room. Watch out for the hard disk.
