seven 0
I have passed the A/C and am awaiting my final inforce interview. I see that not all forces require this last stage and that a pass at the A/C stage enables you to enter the training process. What if you fail at the final interview stage? Is it possible to use your A/C pass and get into another force (without reapplying) that does not have a final interview? After all you would have met their recruitment criteria. I am not preparing to fail but information is king. Thanks for your input.
Rach_Robbo 0
Hey there, In my experience even if you do fail a particular force's final interview you should just be able to transfer your application to another force and continue at the same stage i.e your A/C pass is transferable to another force. I passed the A/C last October and then Cleveland Police's final interview a few weeks later. I then found out that i wouldn't be able to start with them till next year so i transferred my application to Essex who said even if i hadn't passed Cleveland's interview they would have accepted me as they don't have the final interview stage themselves. I've also got a friend who failed Cleveland's interview but has transferred her application to another force and continued her application at the same stage. Sorry for waffling but i hope this is helpful!
seven 0
Thanks for the reply. You have confirmed my own thoughts, a pass at the A/C is a pass and if a force does not have a final interview then I have met their recruitment criteria and should be entitled to transfer my application. If there is anyone else who has input or can confirm Rach Robbo's post, please continue the thread. Thanks. Seven
In2Police 0
Seven - have you thought about joining another force if this should happen and then transferring back to your chosen force once outside your two years. They will welcome you with open arms. BUT... you will not need all of this if you prepare for the final interview in advance.
seven 0
In2Police, having passed the A/C, can I take it from your post that I am correct in my assumption that If I fail my final interview with my chosen force, I can still successfully transfer my application to another force that does not require final interview? I would be extremely dissapointed to fail (only a fool does not contemplate failure) at the last post, especially when I have already met the criteria for many forces. Although I plan to do plenty of preparation for the final interview a back up plan will take the preassure off.
