Penbwlch 810
What browser are you using?
Stan Still 1
I think the only thing you need is a great deal of patience! You will probably have hundreds of cookies and you may need to go through each one individually.
1970-69E 0
I am using Internet Explorer - XP domestic edition. I am patient but have little free time on my hands. Sounds like it may be a difficult exercise?
Penbwlch 810
It is a long time since I have suffered Internet Explorer. I use Firefox and you can control your cookies from within the browser. Before following my suggestion, please check that Micro$oft has not now added such functionality to its own browser. In the IE that I remember, cookies have to be deleted from within Microsoft Explorer (the file manipulation program). Go to the folder that XP is installed to, then Documents and Settings, then each user in turn. Within each user's folder you should find a folder called "Cookies". Open that folder and you should find each cookie being shown as a file. The name of each file should give you a clue as to what that cookie relates to. Just delete the ones you don't want. If you want a more sophisticated way of handling your cookies, try Firefox.

kevinh 0
Is it me or does firefox open much quicker?
Penbwlch 810
That all depends on what you mean by opening quicker. A lot of the IE program is included in Windows startup (if you have IE enabled as your primary browser, that is). This has often given the illusion that Firefox is slower at loading. Once you have opened Firefox, some of the overheads will stay in the buffer until replaced and subsequent openings of Firefox will be much faster than the initial opening (until or unless the buffer contents are replaced). There is an add on for Firefox which pre-loads some of Firefox at boot up and so imitates IE in this respect. So, it may be you or it may be the way you have been using your computer.
