Problem Child 0
I am in need of a LAPTOP and i can only gather together £400 quid due to a shortage of overtime last month. Can anyone point me in the way of a good one for my money. Thanks
Stan Still 1
There's a bloke round our way who sells laptops to students out of the back of his car. Funnily enough, they turn into bricks when the buyer opens the case! Have a look at www.savastore.com or www.dabs.com. I got my daughter an IBM laptop for about £450 from dabs. It doesn't have all the whistles and bells, but it does the job.
Penbwlch 810
I've had a look at my favourite suppliers' websites and you are going to be hard pushed to get a laptop for less than £400. The best I can find is an Acer Travelmate for £444 (inc VAT) at Komplett:- http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=320013 I know nothing about the computer but Komplett are an excellent company and give a superb service. carrotchomper 0
Dell. Quality. Look at their outlet store and you should be able to pick one up for that money! Got one in Jan and it's still working...
Sobey-Harker 0
Your best bet is refurbished laptops, as they are ones that were either used for stock display, and/or similar tasks. They are basically sent back to the factory, looked over then sent back for sales, and they come with full warrenty too so its worth looking into. Google refurbished laptops and have a look

Penbwlch 810
My advice is to not trust anything from Dixons (that includes Currys, PC World, and The Link). They have too many convictions for trading standards matters.
G*N*D 31
Ours is from PC World. So far we've found them to be pretty good & we've had ours a year now.
