CORKY 0 Posted January 28, 2006 Share Posted January 28, 2006 Having just completed both parts of this exam, i find there are over 70 qualified candidates for 15 immediate posts. My force is implementing a selection critera that consists of a competency based supporting statement followed by a letter writting exercise which appears to be another Ospre 2 station.This is followed by a presentation to a board and then an interview. I think it's right that they get the best people for the job and that they whittle the numbers down. Does anyone else think that this is a bit onerous or are there similar procedures elsewhere. Two years ago candidates just had to fill in a single sheet of paper requesting promotion and that was it.
