Winter fleece - any discount options?

Recommended Posts

Eddzz!!

I'm looking at getting myself a warm layer for the winter period as I froze last year (and the year before). The fleeces we are issued with in work aren't much good.

I've been looking at Keela, Snugpak, Montane and Buffalo. Some of the options are a little pricey. Does anyone know of any brands that offer a discount to Police/Emergency Services in the UK?

Thanks

I generally shove and old black berghaus in my work fleece and feel cosy in most climates.

If you are ever in East Lancashire there is a gun/fishing shop in Nelson that sells old Police Scotland fleeces for about a tenner. They are very warm compared to the issued kit and have epaulette loops .

The keela genesis fleece is cracking and they'll be able to add epaulette loops, klickfast docks etc. as needed if you drop them a message. Personally I've got an ex police fleece that I used to wear on the doors, bought it for the klickfast docks for my bodycam but it's honestly the best fleece I've ever worn in terms of warmth and windproofing, probably of the older generation of stuff built to last though. Fleeces really aren't that great and recently I've moved to looking for insulated jackets. For something you can stick on under a hi vis and nobody will know I'd say the snugpak sleeka is definitely your best bet.
