I'm hoping to get a bit of information as to whether it is possible to vape without nicotine. I'm an ex smoker and have recently completely quit but still find that my hands are always lost miss the feeling of holding something. I'm thinking of trialling vaping to see how that works out. 

 

Would anyone be able to offer me any advice on a starting kit (non nicotine) and any kit to look out for?

 

Ive been advised to check out a Innokin Proton Plex as its a beginner device that I can grow with. If it helps i'm after a straight to lung device.

MTL is more like 'normal' smoking. DTL is more for someone wanting a higher nicotine hit usually.

You can buy plenty of ready mix with no nic in it due to the silly TPD Regs. Most decent vape shops will sell a range of flavours. These days you can't buy bigger than 10ml with nic, and even then no more than 1.8 strength.


I'd suggest avoiding the mini vapes, they're invariably expensive junk unless you're buying a Smok pen or better. I'm using a Smok baby beast at the moment with a Kanger KBox200. Been on basically the same setup for 2 years.

I found that the pen style mouth to lung devices just didn't do it for me, although a family member is having great success with one of the BLU pens and their menthol eliquid. I'm using the Voopoo Vmate with an Aspire Cleito 120 tank at home. Hits all the right spots, for some reason though I can only vape indoors. Vaping outside just doesn't give me the satisfaction and especially in the winter taking in the cold air just makes me choke. I'll barely smoke in the house but when I'm working I just can't get off the cigs.

I went from smoking to an ecig (which I stayed on for about 8 months) and after starting at 30mg I worked my way down to 0 . All going well I thought...

What I found though after a while was that vaping 0 nicotine was rather pointless for me other than giving my hands something and sticking something in my gob and have gone back to the cigs...

If you've managed to ditch the fags by yourself I personally wouldn't recommend now getting an ecig - you're introducing the old routine/habits which could tempt you back to the 'just one'. (Unless of course you're good at self control, which I clearly am not when it comes to fags)

Sierra, mine started again in work actually, having a bad one and stood there in the rain making my poncy clouds and a mate simply passed me his pack. Done. [emoji23]
Plus I got sick of charging the damn thing!
