The Greater Good + 28
I had a powercut this afternoon and when I managed to start the pc up it only gets to the windows 10 log in, after that it is a black screen with a cursor. I have tried most things, F8 doesn't work on my keyboard, I did manage to get in the registry and then into files so it is purely a start up fault. Anyone any ideas? Desperately need my pc to pitch for work!

The Greater Good + 28
Unfortunstely tried that and doesn't work if you go via the task manager. I got into the registry another way and changed the cmd file to explorer.exe and nothing happened on the reboot. I have googlrd the problem and nothing seems to work. Beaker 817
You may need to kill explorer before you can restart it. Often stalls after the latest Windows update. If that fails get a command window running asadministrator and type "sfc /scannow" one it completes restart the computer with "shutdown -r"If they fails you may need to DISM it. Use "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth"If none of that works gimme a kick.
The Greater Good + 28
I ended up paying to have it fixed, turned out to be the graphics driver, which can only be accessed by going in safe mode. Caused me no end of problems. Currently can't use a usb port to plug into my camera to downlaod photos
