NCA: NCA statement on Ticketmaster cyber incident

Recommended Posts

Chief Rat

The National Crime Agency is leading the investigation and broader law enforcement response to the cyber incident affecting Ticketmaster.

Specialist officers from the NCA’s National Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU) are managing the ongoing investigation and are working with Ticketmaster and partners to secure evidence, as well as provide mitigation advice and guidance.

Officers are liaising with companies in the UK and overseas, as well as international law enforcement partners, to gain a better understanding of the incident.

We know that ’opportunist’ cyber criminals often use incidents like this to conduct secondary fraud attacks. Anyone who thinks they may be affected should remain vigilant of potential fraudsters seeking access to personal details. Any suspicious activity can be reported to Action Fraud via www.actionfraud.police.uk.

Advice and guidance on how to mitigate against cyber attacks can be found on the National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC) website - www.ncsc.gov.uk.
