Hi, after many months of checking emails and thinking I wouldn't make it I have been accepted into Dyfed Powys! I am on a roller coaster of emotions at the moment and I think it is still sinking in. Looking at many other feeds I know now which boots I need to buy and general info, thanks to the many who have commented. I have a question I am hoping someone might be able to help me with.... i would like to buy either of these books Blackstone's Police Operational Handbook: Practice And Procedure or Blackstone's Handbook for Policing Students 2017 can anyone recommend which one I should buy?
Hey!! At LONG LAST I have finally received my start date! 11th September. It has been a long long wait since my final interview in October last year... So in preparation I was hoping someone might be able to give me some advice of how I can best prepare for my start date, is there anything worth reading up on? anything I can start to study? Books worth buying? Even things I might need for my 3 months training which I should buy now? Any advice would be great!!! Thanks
Hi all Currently in the process of joining Cleveland Police as a new entry PC. I passed the force medical on Monday and sent references/vetting forms off back in February so as far as I know just waiting now! Been told there are various intakes throughout the year but nothing concrete yet. Anybody else in the same situation? And anyone else been through the whole process recently know how long it takes to hear back that everything is done and to be offered a start date? Many Thanks in advance
Hi all, I'm hoping somebody can put me at ease a little. I have recently successfully completed the recruitment process (AC, final interview, medical & vetting all cleared) for my home force and was told by HR (verbally) that the start date for my intake was March 27th 2017. However, I am yet to receive a formal offer of appointment. Is this normal? I am very conscious that I need to give my current employer 4 weeks notice.. should I be concerned? Cheers!
