After lurking silently for many months, I'm finally going for my first post - nothing special, mind. Subject to vetting and the usual Ts&Cs, I'll be on the April intake and was wondering if anyone else here will be, too.

Is anyone else on the January specials intake for Lancs? I am transferring from another force but will be doing some of the modules for the intake as part of my transfer process.

Well after 2 and a bit years I am leaving Lancashire as a special constable to join the mod police down south, I have really enjoyed my time as a special in a popular (apparently) seaside resort and if anyone is thinking of joining Lancashire as a special I would thoroughly recommend they do! and ask for west(ern) division. I won't list full details but I have had some very memorable moments as a special, with one of the stranger moments involving a tortoise hunt! So good bye but I will be keeping an eye on the specials news

source I think there is far more to this than the daily mail or this guy are making out. You don't get arrested for pomping your horn once then calmly talking to the officer when challenged. Also nice sensationalist headline, when you are arrested you tend to be "thrown" in a cell, you also have your dna and finger prints taken as standard. If these officers are looking for a missing child then they're going to let a lot slide so not to be doverted from the search. Also since when did cctv always show "threatening and abusive behaviour" unless it was perfect quality and you had a lip readin

Welcome one and all. Please feel free to start discussing matters relating to Lancashire Constabulary. Do remember of course everything in here is still publicly available and viewable, but you can investigate 'safe areas' where on payment of a fee a separate room can be bought and set up. Whilst still subject to Police Community expectations, rules and regulations, it will be hidden from public view and available only to affirmed Lancashire Constabulary officers and staff.
