  3. Interesting article from BBC News, following a recent report by the GLA. It's such a shame that our victim care gets a bad press after all the things we've been doing to try and improve it during the last year - this report, looking at the 12 months to June 2012, so none of the recent changes have been taken into account. For those that don't know about Total Victim Care, a mandatory NCALT which is now available.... enjoy! Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-21148417

    HMICS Annual Report 2011/12

The report was published today, I've not had time to look over it properly but an interesting read. Nothing seems to be appearing about it in the news yet. Seems to be positive overall. Have a read.

Two injured after viaduct coach crash near Bath

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-19267414 Two injured after viaduct coach crash near Bath Insp Nick Hunt, Avon and Somerset Police: "All those on board have been taken to local hospitals" Two people were trapped after the coach they were travelling in fell 30ft (10m) from a viaduct near Bath. Emergency services were called to Brassknocker Hill, in Monkton Combe, on the B3108 at its junction with the A36 Warminster Road. Avon Fire and Rescue Service said the accident happened at 11:30 BST. An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the incident involved a coach which had left the road with approximately nine passengers on board. 'Fallen off viaduct' The fire service said both of the trapped victims had now been released by firefighters. "Those people are now being treated by ambulance staff," a spokesman said "There were seven other passengers on board the coach, who have also been receiving medical treatment." One eyewitness, from the Angel Fish restaurant on the viaduct, said she could see the coach on its side. "The coach has overturned and fallen off the viaduct at the traffic lights on the A36," she said. Low visibility Great Western Ambulance Service said two of the injured people on board the coach have been taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol while seven others went to the Royal United Hospital (RUH) in Bath. "Our staff assessed all occupants and provided any required treatment before and while en route to hospital," a spokesman said. Insp Nick Hunt, from Avon and Somerset Police, added: "Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. At this stage it is too early to tell what the cause was. Heavy rain in the area reduced visibility and it was not possible for the air ambulance to land. The A36 has been closed between Bath and its junction with the A366 at Farleigh Hungerford. Brassknocker Hill is also closed and motorists have been asked to avoid the area.

    Sky News Admits Email Hacking

Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17628600 What I find shocking is the fact that they've got the guts to say "Sky News said the action was in the public interest and amounted to "responsible journalism"." ps. I can't stand the new HTML editor on the forum. It really messes up the formatting.
