The force is looking at the number of probationary officers we have within the specials at present. Consideration is being given to stregthening the approach to officers who fall into the 'professional probationer' category - roughly still a probationer after 2 years + This will form part of the new Operating Model for specials and whatever is decided is likely to come into force in the early part of the New Year. Hi Guys, Hopefully my transfer from TVP to Wiltshire in on the cards now, and eventually I will be asked where I would like to be based, and this, for me, is quite a tricky decision. Therefore any input you may have would be greatly appreciated! I'm still getting to grips with the whole E & D Divisional structure in Wiltshire, but as I understand it; D is Swindon, and E is pretty much everything else in Wiltshire. I live in (or just on the outskirts) of Swindon, but was contemplating going for an E Division posting. I am becoming wary of travelling times as this was one of the mitigating factors in my move to Wiltshire. Could anyone advise me on the closer stations…

The Chief Constable's parade for 2012 will be held at St John's School, Marlborough on Saturday 10th November 2012 starting at 10.00 am It is expected that the attendance at this year's event will be higher than usual due to the presentation of the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal (for qualifying officers) and the larger number of Independent Patrol certificates likely to be awarded.
